You will enjoy the diversity of a golf holiday at the ALMGUT in the heart of Austria. One of the most beautiful activities for us is golfing. By that we don't just mean the holiday atmosphere that our guests experience on the nearby golf course, but also our favourite hobby. Our golf hobby made us the co-founder hotel of the Golf Club Lungau. This means that our golf guests get a 20% reduction on the green fee. By the way, you will not only receive the green fee reduction at Golfclub Lungau, but also at the surrounding partner golf clubs such as Golfclub Radstadt, Golfclub Millstatt in neighbouring Carinthia, Golfclub Kreischberg in neighbouring Styria or Golfclub Mariahof. As passionate golfers, we are happy to accompany our guests to the golf course.
Golf is more than playing golf
Use your golf trip to the UNESCO Biosphere Park Lungau to put more speed into your golf swing. Did you know that golf professionals swing almost 100 km/h faster than the common pleasure golfer. Male casual golfers still average 130 km/h, while female golfers swing at an average 100 km/h. For the professional golf swing, you simply need a certain looseness in addition to good technique. Golf amateurs can learn this technique during their golf holidays in the Lungau under the supervision of professional, PGA-certified golf instructors at the Lungau Golf Club. The certain looseness comes all by itself when you enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains such as the peak of the Speiereck skiing and hiking area. Balance is also conveyed by the golf course itself, which is embedded in the meadows of the Mur and encourages a controlled and relaxed swing between the particularly short mown fairway and the naturally left biotope.
The ALMGUT - Your Golf Hotel
When you return from the golf course, you can store your golf equipment in a safe room, which offers space for drying and storing winter sports equipment during your winter holiday and serves as a storage space for bicycles, e-bikes and your golf equipment during the summer. Round off your round of golf with a massage, a visit to our wellness centre and a good meal. For an extensive and long debriefing about the perfect tee-off, a sensational hole-in-one or the good mood on the Lungau golf course, we recommend our hotel bar.
